About
The Bandit is a pristine 80’ Hatteras Motor Yacht with the range necessary to explore all the waters of Southeast Florida and the Bahamas. Crewed typically by a licensed captain and a chef/mate, the Bandit sails with six to eight passengers (add a third crew member, a stewardess or steward, for a more pampered experience). We pride ourselves on designing that once in a lifetime memory; that you will want to replicate numerous times. Imagine spending seven days on a cruise you, in conjunction with our expect staff, design custom tailored to your interests and desires. You determine the “vibe” you want to create and we will staff the Bandit with a crew that compliments that focus. A family vacation, an anniversary celebration, an opportunity to get that all-over tan spending seven days without the encumbrance of textiles, to more romantic and erotic pursuits we will match your selected theme with the most qualified and supportive staff. From leisurely cruising the intercoastal to motoring across to the Bahamas, we can accommodate your itinerary. Whether you want to simply go off the net and relax, or you want greater adventure and to snorkel, dive, fish, or explore deserted beaches – you tell us what you want to experience, and we will create that memory for you and your five or seven other guests. Our selection of chefs and cooks, will match your culinary desires as well. Are you looking for simple home-cooking with a Caribbean flare? Or, would you like your meals prepared by a culinary trained chef? Perhaps, its something in between. The Bandit will sail crewed and provisioned to satisfy the hungriest appetite or the most discriminating plate. While you read this introduction you likely are saying that such an adventure is only for the wealthy. You would be wrong. Consider this.Yes, typically the Bandit charters for $30,000 to 35,000 a week, as a bareboat with a Captain and chef mate. Provisioning (i.e. Food, Beverages, Fuel) may cost another $10,000 to $15,000 for the duration. The actual price depends on your palate, the beverages filling your glasses, and the distance you want to travel. But, if you take the mid-range, your custom designed cruising adventure is but $5,000 per guest per week, plus voluntary crew gratuities. Affordability is enhanced with a 10% discount for military and first responders – inquire about the details. And, during Spring Break, we offer a special discount to those faculty members needing rest and relaxation – again inquire about details.Compare that to more “reasonable” excursions. Weeklong all-inclusive stays in the Bahamas can run from $4,000 to $10,000 per guest. And, then, there is the airfare from Miami. Or, you might consider a more traditional cruise, with 3,000 strangers, for $3,000 to $5,000. You certainly save on cost, but the loss is the freedom of the seas. You want an all over tan, get naked on the foredeck; fresh fish for dinner, wet a line off the cockpit; want to find a quiet cove and private beach, hop in our tender (Smokey) and go ashore; or, hop on a paddleboard, jet on a personal watercraft or don SCUBA gear and create an adventure. Decide each evening, the adventure the next sunrise will bring; then spend the night amazed by the heavenly views above and the reinvigorating smell of the sea. Refresh that night, being rocked to sleep by the rhythm of the ocean in air conditioned comfort. These are freedoms and experiences you never have at a resort or on a cruiseship. And, while you are making memories for you and your guests, you are also making wishes come true for critically ill children. In conjunction with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, for every 12 one-week cruises booked and paid for, Sea Spirit Charters will create a three to five-day, completely complimentary, wish fulfilling adventure for a child and their family on the water.Experience the freedom of the seas; let The Bandit steal you away to the vacation and escape of your dreams; while aiding in the making of wishes of critically ill children come true.
