The award winning VOYAGE 590 provides a comfortable, effective platform for both charter and extended cruising. The spirit of the boat is to provide good boat speed using an efficient hull shape and a lightweight construction method, a low load, overlapping sail plan, a simple but styled interior and an effective and reliable system design. The boat has been developed round the theme of an open-plan, mid-deck (bridge-deck) living area – the aft deck flows unhindered through to the covered dining area then into the interior salon/galley area and on through a forward companionway to foredeck working-cockpit and finally on to the bow-trampoline area. Accommodation below is for 12 guests in 6 equal cabins, each with queen-size bunks and ensuite toilet/shower compartments.
Crew accommodation is provided in two bow cabins, with heads, finished to a standard similar to the guest cabins. Aft and upper flybridge area separates vessel control (helm and sail control) from the mid-deck guest social areas and provides a break-away seating and sunbed area for guests to participate in the exhilaration of sailing the vessel. Engine power will be from conventional diesel engines with stern tube/shaft drives or, alternatively, it can be powered by electric motors driving similar shaft drives with the propulsion batteries charged by a generator or photovoltaic solar panels fitted to the Bimini.
The V590 has been custom configured for the charter industry with a simple contemporary interior which is robust and can be quickly and easily cleaned between charters. Vessel equipment will generally be specified from equipment currently used by Voyage Charters in their Charter Fleet.
The vessel is constructed from a set of production GRP moulds with gelcoat finishes to the moulded product-surfaces. The interior joinery will have pressure-laminate finishes and be assembled on interior GRP hull trays allowing for short production cycles. The vessel design will be compliant to all applicable ISO Standards for small, leisure craft and will be constructed meet the CE as well as ABYC specification requirements.
