Les Voiles de Saint Tropez brings together a wide range of classic boats – considered to be among the most beautiful in the world. Some of them have over a century of living, while others are ultra modern – keeping up with the latest building style and innovation.

2023 brings the 25th edition (Sept.29 – Oct. 08), consisting of a 10-day program where the different fleets meet and race along the beautiful coast of the French Riviera. This year around 300 vessels and 4,000 sailors are expected to participate, considering all categories such as Maxis, Moderns and Classics.

This international event has origins that date back to 1981, initially called Nioulargue, which began with as a challenge between Dick Jayson (owner of Swan 44 PRIDE) and Jean Lorrain (helmsman of 12m IR IKRA). Due to the enthusiasm of sailing passionates, the event evolved each year, now having become a real worldwide regatta.

This year, 40 Maxi Yachts are participating among their category, showcasing both elegance and innovative advancements of the nautical sector. At the cutting edge of technology, with an overall length of 30 metres, these magnificent monohulls are divided into 4 different groups, according to each yacht’s measurement and rating, ensuring that the competition is as fair as possible. This will be the last of the six meetings of the season to crown the champion of the IMA Mediterranean Maxi Inshore Challenge.
